WARRENTON, GA - Mrs. Mary Plumley Griffith, age 68, of 153 S. Whitehead Street Warrenton, GA died Monday December 7, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Prospect United Methodist Church (1363 Prospect Church Road, Norwood, GA 30821) with Rev. Don Richards officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Griffith will lie in state one hour prior to funeral services in the church sanctuary. Mrs. Griffith, a native of Atlanta has been a Warren County resident since 1979. She was an 1965 honor graduate of Jonesboro High School and a retired Sr. Customer Service Representative with 1st Franklin Financial. She was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church. Survivors include her mother, Donna Smith Plumley, Powder Springs, GA, one son, Lamar (Kimberly) Atkinson, Temple, GA, one daughter, Jennifer A. (Shawn) Johnson, Warrenton, GA, one sister, Linda Hux, Powder Springs, GA, one Brother, David Plumley, Palmetto, GA , two grandsons, Andrew Atkinson and Garrett Atkinson and much loved by numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Griffith was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Lee Plumley. Pallbearers will be Marc Ball, Chad Long, John Banister, Larry Johnson, Dale Reed, Donnie Reese, and Alan Johnson.
