Carolyn Stanton, 74 years of age, passed on Thursday, October 27th, 2022, at Community Hospice in Jacksonville Florida. Carolyn was born April 2, 1948 in Lovejoy, Georgia to the late William and Bernice Sams. She was the youngest of two children, her brother Doug Sams preceded her in death.

Carolyn married the late William (Bob) Stanton and had one son, Marc. Carolyn received her education at Jonesboro High School and a Bachelor's Degree from Georgia State University. Carolyn professed her life to Christ at an early age at Lovejoy Methodist Church in Lovejoy, GA. Carolyn always enjoyed helping others, spending time with her grandchildren and attending family events.

Carolyn started her professional career at the McDonalds Corporate office and retired from Peachtree City Park and Recreation after a long career. Carolyn loved to read, spending time with family, laughing and always wearing a smile on her face. Carolyn was a strong woman, loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, Grandmother and friend, always thinking of others first. "To know her was to love her."

Carolyn leaves to cherish her loving memory to her son, Marc, her daughter in law, Jennifer, three grandchildren, Hailey, Courtney and Chase, Sisters and Brothers in law and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
