It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Francis Marion Thompson of Rockmart, Georgia, born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, who passed away at the age of 76, on May 18, 2023.

He was predeceased by his parents, Jesse Edwin Thompson and Katherine Lucil McAbee Thompson, his sister Melba Hansel, and his half-sister Linda Nelms. He is survived by his wife Jane Booz Thompson, and his son Jason Travis Thompson.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, May 24th 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Greenwood Cemetery (246 Alpha Way, Cedartown, GA 30125).

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to the Polk County Historical Society (PCHS) or the PCHS Genealogical Research Library.
