Reynolds, Georgia - Funeral services for Linda Darnell Hobbs (Bishop), 74, of Reynolds will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of McLeighton Funeral Service. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. She passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at her residence.

Linda Darnell Hobbs (Bishop) was born on October 5, 1947, in Manchester, Georgia to Paul and Helen Bishop. She grew up in Riverdale, Georgia and attended Jonesboro High school where she graduated in 1965.
She met Lewis Beeland Hobbs at a dance in 1966 in Thomaston, Georgia. They began dating and after a short courtship they were married on June 29,1966. Lewis preceded Linda in death on June 6, 2021.

She worked several jobs during her life at Blue Bird Body Company, Briggs and Stratton, and Trane but the job she loved the most was being a wife to Lewis and mother to her two children Darryl Lewis and Helen Renee. She and Lewis had 5 grandchildren Ashley Frye, Emily Frye, Ady Hobbs, Noah Hobbs, and Aaron Hobbs.

She spent her life working hard and taking care of her family. She loved nothing more than spending time with her children, grandchildren and her husband. She was always there for them for anything they needed and was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and wife until her dying day. Lewis and Linda spent a life of love and laughter together. They always loved camping with their dog "little Bit". She loved to dance and was always singing or humming a tune. She loved her life and would not have changed it for anything.

She leaves behind a cherished legacy of hard work, love, and caring for her family. She spent a lifetime loving and giving to her family. She will be sorely missed and always loved. She will always be "mama".
